Job Duties:
You will be expected to assist with some or all of the items listed below:
Oversee the coordination of travel experiences for students to regional/local events and activities.
Organize and oversee Mentoring Program for incoming freshmen, including coordination and planning of all meetings.
Assist Assoc. Director and Student Leadership in the planning and implementation of Honors Program ‘All-Honors’ and ‘Enrichment’ meetings. Possible involvement with the coordination of Pen Pal Program.
Work with the Assoc. Director to create Honors Program-related publications and supplemental materials.
Communicate/correspond with faculty, students, and regional and national offices to ensure success in all Honors Program areas.
Serve as a liaison with the Honors Assoc. Director to the Office of Residence Life and the Honors Living-Learning floor.
Coordinate Honors service requirements.
Plan and assist in seeking financial support for Honors Program Educational Trips.
Manage Honors e-correspondence, Pennwest Edinboro pages, and Facebook page. Represent Honors at Orientations and Open Houses.
Attend and lead Honors meetings as needed.
Create all PR materials: newsletters, bulletins, etc.
Research various topics as needed.
Oversee surveys and files needed for Honors assessment.
Contribute to the overall success of the Honors Program with new ideas and involvement,
as well as with related projects of personal interest.
Open mail, date stamp as needed.
Collate brochures and applications.
Stuff letters and other mailings as needed.
Maintain files for current and incoming students.
Check literature racks and keep them stocked.
Help those who call and stop by with questions.
Assist on various projects as directed by the Honors Staff.
Make telephone calls, send e-mails as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be in the Honors Program and be in good standing with the program. Must be proficient in Excel, Access, Publisher. GPA Requirements 3.25 minimum.
