· Serve as a positive representative for PennWest’s Department of Safety and Risk Management. You will be expected to demonstrate the department’s values.

· Perform monthly inspections of campus fire extinguishers, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), ADA automatic door openers, and other assigned items.
· Maintain electronic records of inspections.
· Reports deficiencies and/or safety concerns to your supervisor for corrective action.
· Assist the Safety and Risk Management personnel with assigned duties.
· Escort safety-related vendors/contractors as needed.
· Maintain confidentiality. Safety Assistants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
· Must be in good standing with Office of Student Conduct.
· Complete other duties as assigned.
