Details/Requirements:
- This is an anticipated opening, with position and compensation pending funding and approval.
- Non-Pennsylvania residents need to be enrolled in a program offered on campus to qualify for a Graduate Assistantship position
- International students need to meet the requirements for employment in the U.S. and be enrolled in a program offered on campus to qualify for a Graduate Assistantship position
- Position will be filled at the home campus of the selected applicant
- Remote or hybrid work may be available
- Applicants must be available for both the Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 semesters.
- This position works approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year and hours are scheduled between 8 am-4 pm Monday through Friday.

JOB DUTIES:
Monitor the Employer Email Account: Check the recruitment email account and take action/respond. Elevate to employer relations staff as needed.
Maintain the Employer Database and Assist in Promoting Job Opportunities: Assist with monitoring job postings, events, and other employer activity on Handshake. Enter new company profiles and job postings when needed, and delete/add new company contacts. Send targeted e-mails to students/alumni regarding job opportunities. Provide instructions to employers to use Handshake.
Employer Development: Assist with researching and developing new employer leads. Responsibilities may include: contacting employers to obtain the proper Human Resources and/or alumni contact information; researching company websites and navigating through their career pages to find current job openings, majors recruited and general company information. Recording employer development organization visit notes. Assist with entering organization visit notes into the appropriate databases.
On-Campus/Virtual Recruitment: Assist the Employer Relations Coordinator with promoting employer on-campus and virtual recruiting events. Responsibilities will include: creating Events in Handshake, sending out targeted emails to students/alumni, social media updates, creating campus flyers, and updating the Director of Career Events and Outreach. Assist with coordination of employer visits (facilities requests, room reservations and set up). Meet and greet employers on campus. Notify the proper Career Coaches of company visits and majors recruited etc.
Additional duties that you may be asked to help with:
Career Coach support: resume reviews, practice interviews, and teach students how to use Handshake. Approve or provide feedback for student resumes uploaded on Handshake.
Assist with General Office Duties, Programs and Events: Provide office support as needed. Assist with special events and activities, including job fairs, workshops, table events and other office services (e.g. front desk coverage, mail, drop ins, etc.) as necessary.
