Schedule and Pay:
• Typically 12-15 hours per week (up to 20 hours / week) for total of 200 hours for the term
• $15 / hour
• schedule TBD with some flexibility; candidates must have some weekend and evening availability
Required skills:
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
· Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
· Computer skills, including experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Social Media
· General knowledge of library functions and the research process
Tasks:
· Provide front-line support to library users at service desk in library
· Instructs library patrons with use of library resources, equipment, and technology
· Assists with:
o Ongoing management and coordination of library’s social media presence
o Training, scheduling, mentoring of library work-study students
o Analysis of data and compilation of reports
o Scheduling of events and room reservations in library
o Development of library communications and outreach initiatives
o Special projects such as inventorying of collections and digitization of materials
o Scheduling, delivery, and assessment of library instruction sessions
