Job Summary
PennWest Edinboro Campus Recreation is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to embody our beloved mascot, MacCato. As the mascot, you will play a vital role in promoting school spirit, engaging with the community, and representing the university at various events.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Event Participation: Perform as MacCato at home games, campus events, and community appearances.
- Fan Engagement: Interact with students, faculty, alumni, and fans to create a lively and positive atmosphere.
- Character Development: Maintain and develop the character of MacCato, ensuring consistent and engaging performances.
- Costume Maintenance: Ensure the mascot costume is clean, well-maintained, and in good repair.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Campus Recreation team, cheerleading squad, and other student groups to coordinate appearances and performances.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Be a full time Edinboro Student (minimum of 12 credits)
- Must be friendly, approachable, and able to engage with people of all ages.
- Able to wear a heavy costume and perform physically demanding activities for extended periods.
- Able to develop entertaining routines and adapt to various event themes.
- Punctual and dependable, with a strong commitment to representing PennWest University.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and student organizations.
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA
Compensation:
- This position pays $7.25 an hour
