Paid Internships with the Pennsylvania Auditor General Intern to Hire Program

Are you seeking a paid internship that can lead to full-time employment? The Pennsylvania Auditor General’s Office offers paid auditing internships throughout the year for students and recent graduates who want hands-on experience serving the citizens of Pennsylvania.

Who Is Eligible?

You may be eligible for this internship if you meet one or more of the following criteria:

Education Status

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
    • Have completed at least 60 credits (typically a rising junior or senior) by the start of the internship
  • Recently graduated with an Associate degree within the last 6 months
  • Currently enrolled graduate student

Eligible Majors

Students must be majoring in one of the following fields or a closely related area:

  • Accounting
  • Business
  • Computer Science
  • Data Analytics
  • Mathematics
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Information Technology

Internship Details

  • Paid internship
  • Available year-round
  • Work arrangements include:
    • Hybrid (remote and in-person), or
    • Full-time telework (depending on position and department needs)
  • Gain hands-on auditing experience in a public service environment

Intern to Hire (I2H) Program

These internships are part of the Department of the Auditor General (DAG) Intern to Hire (I2H) Program, a structured pathway from internship to full-time employment.

Intern to Hire Eligibility

Students may be considered for full-time employment if they:

  • Successfully complete a minimum three-month internship, and
  • Hold an Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree at the time of hire
